I am a SNSF-Professor of Philosophy at the University of Zürich and Director of the EXRE research group.
My research is mainly in epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language and moral philosophy. I am currently the Principal Investigator of a research project, funded by an SNSF Starting Grant from January 2026, that aims to offer a unified approach to the connection between our understanding of linguistic representations and our understanding of non-linguistic phenomena, as mediated by certain representations. This project draws on and expands the ideas present in my 2023 monograph entitled “Rational Understanding: From Explanation to Knowledge”.
